Pre-atom, atom, peewee teams will compete in finals at Bear Mountain Stadium this weekend

The Wildcats’ pre-atom team (ages eight to 10) coached by Shaun Waters won 30-0 against the opposing Westshore Warriors. The atom team (ages 11 and 12) coached by Al Naylor battled from the beginning and managed a close win at 14-6 against the Gordon Head Raiders.

Finally, the peewee team (ages 13 and 14) coached by Lowell MacDonald managed an even closer win against the Sooke Seahawks 22-20.

For this weekend’s finals, the peewees play the Cowichan Bulldogs at 3 p.m. Saturday for the Silver Cup.

Both the pre-atoms and atoms play the Saanich Wolverines for the Gold Cup on Sunday. Pre-atoms kick off at 11 a.m. and atoms at 1 p.m.
