Midgets celebrate winning season

The Peninsula Eagles Midget T3 team is celebrating a winning season after defeating Cowichan Valley in the best-of-three season final.

The Peninsula Eagles Midget T3 team is celebrating a winning season after defeating Cowichan Valley in the best-of-three season final.

In game one held on home ice, the Eagles defeated Cowichan Valley 9-0.  The second game was held at the Island Savings Centre in Duncan where the Peninsula fell 3-1. The third game of the series, at Panorama Recreation Centre, saw the Eagles clinch the playoff banner with a 5-1 win.

The Midget T3 Peninsula Eagles had already scored first place in league play with six wins, four ties and two losses in the VIAHA Island League Midget Division 4.

The team is scheduled to travel to Port Alberni for a spring break tournament March 19 to 21 to wrap up the season.
