Re: Pride and joy (News, July 27)

Terry and I wish to congratulate Natalie North for the well-written article on our experiences as parents of an Olympian. We have had many positive comments from friends (and even the receptionists at my doctor’s office) on how insightful and touching it was.

One male friend admitted to getting choked up part way through reading it.

We were pleased that Natalie captured our thoughts and emotions so clearly and accurately.
