HST fee a step too far for a bottle-deposit fee

Recently we bought a bottle of juice at Fairway Market. The bill then listed a 12-cent recycle fee and a five-cent bottle deposit.

Recently we bought a bottle of juice at Fairway Market. The bill then listed a 12-cent recycle fee and a five-cent bottle deposit.

Surprisingly, the recycle fee was assessed a further one-cent HST.

Now I support recycling, and I dutifully bring bottles back for deposit, but the existence of the HST fee is just too much. The sooner the HST repeal is enacted, the better!
