The in-camera decision by Central Saanich council to grant Councillor Siklenka a six month leave of absence, with pay, begs yet another question.

If Central Saanich can do without the services of a council member for half a year, are there too many paid elected politicians to efficiently run the affairs of 26,000 citizens?

One would surmise a comprehensive analysis with regard to amalgamation of 360,000 residents of Greater Victoria in the 13 municipalities, might bring more efficient results to all.

Answers to this and many other questions are owed the taxpayers.
