After reading Little wonder by Bert Slater (teacher) (PNR letters Oct. 5), I had to give Mr. Slater a fail for math.
His calculation of return on investment is far off the mark. An annual return of $25 million on a $1 billion investment works out to a decent 2.5 per cent, a mere 100 times the teacher’s figure. His letter is a weak reason for job action.
