WSANEC community honours the life of master carver Temosen Charles Elliott

Prayer, funeral services taking place Feb. 1 and 2

Lifelong artist and internationally recognized master carver Temosen Charles Elliott has died.

In a community notice on its website, Tsawout First Nation recognized Elliott’s contribution to the community while offering condolences to his family during this difficult time and shared details of the arrangements.

Elliott, an Elder from the Tsartlip Nation and a respected WSANEC community member, will be honoured with a prayer service on Wednesday and a funeral service on Thursday.

The prayer service will be held at the Tsawout gym at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1. His funeral will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 2 in the Tsawout gym followed by a luncheon. His final resting place will be the Tsartlip cemetery.
