The Naden Band’s Jazz Ensemble and the MARPAC Commodore were among the visitors honouring Vancouver Island veterans at the Veterans Memorial Lodge at Broadmead on Friday.
Broadmead Care screened a new documentary, Vancouver Island’s Veterans – Celebrating our Nations Hero’s, to celebrate veterans and Canada’s 150th. The 22-minute movie recounts the contributions veterans made.
Commodore Jeff Zwick Fleet Commander MARPAC addressed the veterans at Broadmead, as did Veterans Affairs Canada Victoria, with music by the Naden Band Jazz Ensemble as well as other community, Legion and service club organizations.
