Post-election break in at North Saanich municipal hall

Sidney North Saanich RCMP investigating the theft of electronic equipment between Nov. 15 and 17.

North Saanich’s municipal hall was robbed during a break in sometime following the civic election.

Sidney North Saanich RCMP report that the building was entered sometime between Nov. 15 and 17 and pieces of electronic equipment have been reported stolen. Cpl. Erin Fraser says the investigation is still ongoing and the actual items that were taken are not being disclosed at this time. She added there’s no indication the theft was related to the municipal election’s main voting day held Sat., Nov. 15.

Police also do not know at this time if the items taken contain any personal information.

The investigation continues and police are asking if anyone has information on this case to call the RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
