Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding near Benvenuto and West Saanich Road and wound up issuing an immediate roadside prohibition.

Central Saanich Police on patrol stopped the vehicle on July 8 just before 11 p.m. The driver showed symptoms of impairment and was given a roadside screening.

The Saanich man driving was subsequently issued a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
