Homeowners in Central Saanich might have scared off intruder

Police seek witnesses to break-in on East Saanich Road on Tuesday

A break-in in the 7700 block of East Saanich Road has Central Saanich police looking for information.

On Tuesday, Aug. 14 a break and enter was reported at a townhouse complex. The homeowners believed the house was entered while they were out during the day, but police aren’t certain that’s the case.

"Nothing was stolen from the home, but all the rooms had been entered and gone through so it could be that the owners scared the suspect away," said Cpl. Janis Jean of the Central Saanich police.

Police are asking anyone who observed anyone suspicious in the area around 6:30 p.m. contact them at 250-652-4441.
