Party leader hopeful host meet and greet at University of Victoria today

Federal NDP leadership hopeful Thomas Mulcair is hosting a meet and greet today at the University of Victoria.

Mulcair is the front-runner in the leadership race for the party, which gained huge popularity in the last federal election, when it was led by the late Jack Layton, who died of cancer.

Mulcair plans to speak and introduce supporters to residents of the Island at today’s event, Sunday, Feb. 19, which happens from 4:15 to 6 p.m. in the Michele Pujol Room at the University of Victoria’s Student Union Building, 3800 Finnerty Rd.

Parking on Sunday is free in all lots except the Ian Stewart Complex and University Centre parkade.
