Expect traffic delays during triathlon

Roads will remain open but traffic personnel will be stationed at busy intersections

Motorists are being advised to watch for cyclists traveling along Brookleigh, Old West Saanich and West Saanich roads, up to Widgeon Drive on the morning of Sunday, Aug. 5.

Cyclists participating in the 33rd annual Self-Transcedence Triathlon and 22nd annual duathlon will be heading in both directions from 8 to 10:30 a.m. While roads will remain open, traffic personnel will be stationed at busy intersections.

The event, held at Elk Lake, is also seeking volunteers. For more information, call 250-592-6211.
