North Saanich is moving ahead on its climate action plan, after approving $10,000 to prepare terms of reference for the plan. Council approved the plan in a 6-1 vote, with Coun. Ted Daly voting against it on Monday, Jan. 9.
Staff will look at creating a committee, build a report on how to encourage the use of low-emission vehicles and identify improvements to the existing sustainability guide.
Council also agreed to spend $5,000 on a corporate and community energy plan with the help of B.C. Hydro.
