Central Saanich appoints new fire chief

Chris Vrabel coming to Central Saanich after a stint as deputy fire chief in Campbell River.

Former Campbell River Deputy Fire Chief Chris Vrabel had taken the Fire Chief's job in Central Saanich.

The District of Central Saanich announced today (Dec. 20) the appointment of Chris Vrabel as the new fire chief.

Vrabel takes over from former chief Ron French, who announced his retirement official in September. He has since taken a position with the province.

Vrabel is currently a deputy chief with the City of Campbell River and officially becomes Central Saanich’s new fire chief on January 16, 2017.
