Business picks up at airport in late 2011

Traffic was 2.3 per cent higher in December 2011 than December 2010

Traffic to and from the Victoria International Airport picked up slightly in the latter part of last year.

Compared to the first half of 2011, the second half was somewhat busier, said Victoria Airport Authority CEO Geoff Dickson. “I think the new flights to Phoenix, Ariz. helped with that. … We noticed a gradual improvement over the last four, five months of the year.”

Traffic was 2.3 per cent higher in December 2011 than December 2010.
