Reports: explosion hits near courthouse in Turkish city

ISTANBUL — Turkish media reports say an explosion has occurred near a courthouse in the western city of Izmir.

The Dogan news agency says several ambulances have been seen on Thursday.

NTV television says the explosion occurred inside a car, suggesting that it may have been caused by a car bomb.
