When Randall Mang and his wife Louise first cruised into Port Sidney Marina in 2015, they had no inkling that within a year, they would be calling Sidney home.

Today, Randall is helping others make their real estate dreams come true as an advisor with Engel & Völkers Vancouver Island, focusing on Sidney and North Saanich.

“When we first strolled up Beacon Avenue from the marina in 2015 we were immediately taken by the public art, the quaint shops and restaurants; we noticed a lot of people sitting on benches, reading books and sipping coffee,” says Randall. “The vibe was calm, welcoming and we loved it.”

A walk along Sidney’s leafy, tree-lined streets and waterfront sparked ideas of building a future here.

“We decided then and there to start exploring investment properties as a way to put a stake in the ground,” says Randall, a sales and marketing professional who has been involved in residential real estate since 1991.

To their surprise, what began as a search for a rental property led to their purchase of a brand-new home. “We thought, why wait for retirement? We have never looked back,” says Randall.

He adds the Peninsula’s appeal extends far beyond Sidney proper and includes the close proximity to rural landscapes, farms and beaches, Victoria International Airport and Swartz Bay ferry terminal, the hamlets of Saanichton and Brentwood Bay, downtown Victoria and more.

In a recent announcement, Engel & Völkers Vancouver Island Managing Broker Donna Rogers welcomed Randall “to the world’s most exclusive real estate network.

“Randall has been carefully selected to join the elite circle of advisors who provide a reserved brand of service extended to our most valued clients,” said Rogers.

Beyond helping clients buy and sell homes in Sidney and North Saanich, Randall is active in the community. He is Chair of the BC-Yukon Council for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards, a charity that inspires youth to develop their full potential, and he serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Oak Bay. He and Louise are also members of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.

“We absolutely love our life on the Peninsula. It’s a thrill to be able to help others follow their dream home, too,” says Randall.
