Island builders and renovators were among those bringing home the gold at the national SAM Awards.
The Island awards were among the 13 earned by Canadian Home Builder’s Association B.C. members, more than half of the 22 awards presented at the National Conference in Banff last weekend.
Presented by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association with support of Schlage and Trane Canada, the national SAM Awards recognize excellence in new homes and renovations in Canada.
Among the local winners were:
• Abstract Developments of Victoria, for their website,
www.abstractdevelopments.com
• Icon Developments, for best single detached home 2,500 to 4,000 square feet, in Ucluelet
• and Victoria’s Zebra Group for best whole house renovation, more than $500,000
CHBA BC members from across the province earned awards in new home, renovation and marketing categories.
“Earning a National SAM Award is a great achievement in the residential construction industry,” says Vicki Gerrits, CHBA BC president. “Congratulations to our award-winning members who continually demonstrate the innate skills, professionalism and leadership found in the builders and renovators in our province.”
Many of these builders and renovators will come together again this Saturday, along with many more CHBA members, to compete for the gold at the 19th Annual Georgie Awards at the Vancouver Convention Centre. For more information, visit www.georgieawards.ca
