All you need is love and you’re going to love the Mary Winspear Centre’s summer lineup of shows.

July will see crowds celebrate the legacy of Canadian icon Gordon Lightfoot. Presented by the Folk and Fiddle Society, the show gets underway on Saturday, July 22 at 2 p.m. with the timeless melodies and captivating storytelling that made Lightfoot a folk icon.

The lineup of acclaimed musicians includes Oliver Swain, Dylan Stone, Lenny Lester, Jesse Cobb, Tyler Lieb and Marshall Wildman.

To get crowds rocking to the right notes in August, the classic Beatles tribute – ‘In My Life: A Beatles Songbook’ – takes over the stage on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

The group is led by Bruce Coughlan, a career songwriter, guitarist and lead singer of Tiller’s Folly. Accompanying him on keyboard is Marc Gladstone, who played with Doug and the Slugs among many other big names. Country singer Gordon Maxwell joins the group on bass, along with “avid drum nerd” Nick James.

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, Diane Pancel and Kim Greenwood perform Doris and Judy Together, a tribute to musical icons Doris Day and Judy Garland in the Charlie White Theatre.

Pancel, an award-winning recording artist and international cabaret star, is returning to her hometown of Sidney following a seven-week cabaret tour in Switzerland. She draws inspiration from her Portuguese/Hungarian background giving her music a strong sense of international soul.

The duo is back by popular demand and this performance combines the best of their soldout 2022 shows with Ashley Wey on piano, Louis Rudner on bass, Barrie Sorensen on saxophone and Jon Miller on drums.

Ending the month on the right notes is the Timebenders, landing on the stage Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. With more than 15 costume changes, impersonations and over 50 years of hits, their “rock down memory lane” is an explosive, interactive, high-energy show.

Taking audiences through the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, the group highlights big stars and memorable dance classics.
