The Oak Bay Bays hold the top seed heading into the 32-team Junior Boys Basketball Invitational Tournament this weekend on the Lower Mainland.
Joining the Vancouver Island champions as a top seed at the 54th edition of the tournament are the Vancouver College Fighting Irish, the St. Patrick Celtics and the L.A. Matheson Mustangs – seeded second through fourth.

Graham Grizzlies (Chilliwack), Handsworth Royals (North Vancouver), Kalamalka Lakers (Coldstream), Kelowna Owls (Kelowna), Killarney Cougars (Vancouver), Mark R. Isfeld Ice (Courtenay), New Westminster Hyacks (New Westminster), Pacific Academy Breakers (Surrey), R.E. Play starts Saturday (Feb. 24) at 8:30 a.m. with each team playing twice that first day.
The champion will be crowned Tuesday (Feb. 27) with the last two teams tipping off at 7 p.m.

Senior boys Island playdowns are underway with the provincial tournament set for March 6 to 9 at Langley Events Centre.
