Get ready for Daffy Daze

Spring is on the horizon — let’s celebrate with daffodils. This year, Vantreight Farms is kick-starting spring with a first annual Saanich Peninsula daffodil festival.

Daffy Daze will run from March 13 to 20. The festival will usher in the growing season for Peninsula farms and gardeners, promote local agriculture and celebrate the fact that we are the Daffodil Capital of Canada. Featured will be fresh daffodils for sale and display, farm tractors, face painting, games, and for the first time, a U-pick field of daffodils adjacent to the Vantreight Farm Market at 8370 East Saanich Road. Businesses and residents are encouraged to join in the celebration by displaying daffodils in window displays, and countertops. Artists pick up your brushes, writers pick up your pens and celebrate our saucy, yellow harbingers of spring. Find out more about this exciting new event at www.daffodil.com. Call Vantreight Farms at 250-652-7777.
