Five Velox Valkryies will represent BC at the National Women’s League provincial rugby competition, June 30 to July 3 at the University of B.C.
Marlene Donaldson, Jess Dovanne, Shannon Kane and Sam Robb will draw in for the senior squad with Hannah Yow cracking the U23 division team.
The growing strength of the University of Victoria Vikes women’s rugby program will be on display as six Vikes will take part in the NWL. Abbie Goodwin (P.E.I.), Randi Hunter (Abbotsford), Chelsey Minter (Sidney) and Jesse Olynyk (Kamloops) were named to the U23 Team B.C. Emillie Cooper (Cowichan) and Cassy Stevens (Shawnigan Lake) will suit up for the U20 roster.
