This year’s Victoria International Track Classic doubles as stop number three on the inaugural National Track League. The NTL starts in Edmonton on June 29 and comes to Victoria with the VTL on July 3 at the University of Victoria’s Centennial Stadium.
Olympic shot putter Dylan Armstrong, hurdling champ Perdita Felicien and heptathlete Jessica Zelenka will headline the Victoria event.
“Many athletes are bypassing major meets in Europe to stay in North America this summer,” said Track Classic director Brent Fougner. “Spectators will see some of our best fields ever at this year’s Classic.”
