Dave Cormier of North Saanich won the 2011 Porsche Pirelli Cup last weekend at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California driving his VI Fitness backed 2008 Porsche Cup Car.

The Porsche Pirelli Cup is a semi pro race series featuring three different classes of Porsche factory built race cars. Cormier managed to win both races held on the weekend to secure the title with two races still remaining on the schedule.

It’s the third championship Cormier has won this season having previously secured the Oregon SCCA Super Production and PCA 1 titles. This season has been a banner season for Cormier which saw him also win his 100th career race.
