University of Victoria’s Centennial Stadium hosts the 41st annual festival designated for athletes with developmental disabilities.

The games may vary but the athlete’s spirit and sportsmanship is second to none.

Athletes enter the stadium at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, for the opening ceremonies with music by the Saanich Peninsula Pipe Band and 443 Pipes and Drums.

Saturday’s events run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with wheelchair gym races and rally, 50-, 100-, 400-metre races, sack races, high jump, shot put, ball throw, basketball, croquet and bocce. Events continue Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., with awards presentations and closing ceremonies at 12 p.m.
