Victoria and Westshore meet in game 7, winner to play Campbell River

It’s coming down to the wire for the Victoria Cougars and Westshore Wolves in Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League playoff action.

The teams face off in the deciding game 7 of their first-round South Division playoff series tonight (March 3) at The Q Centre in Colwood (6 p.m. start).

The Cougars, winners of the first two games in the series, lost three straight to the Wolves before coming up with an emphatic 6-2 win Thursday in Esquimalt. Under the new all-Island playoff format, the winner takes on the vaunted Campbell River Storm, 4-1 winners in their series against Peninsula, in the next round of the playoffs starting next week.
