There are other issues important to the Canadian people in this election campaign. I would like to hear what our leaders and local candidate’s position is on monetary support for CBC.
CBC and Canadian broadcasting unites our very large country. When I meet someone new to Canada and they want to learn more about our country, I always suggest listening to CBC radio. I know many of our seniors listen to CBC radio and for many people of the north CBC television is all they receive.
The House of Commons Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage has recommended that the CBC’s annual parliamentary grant be raised from $33 per Canadian to $40. I would like to know which leaders support this recommendation and who is ready to stand up for Canadian culture.
