Proposed pay scale needs to be shared by many more workers

CEOs should spread the wealth, but math doesn't add up in 10 per cent proposal

Re: CEOs’ hard-earned wealth should be shared with employees (Letters, Oct. 28)

I agree with B. Horsfall’s letter that CEOs should share their wealth with their employees. But where is your math?

Each employee should get 10 per cent of the CEO’s pay – $200,000 if the CEO gets paid $2 million? That means, ten employees will share the CEO’s wealth.

But what about the other hundreds or perhaps thousands of employees? They don’t get even one extra dollar?

The idea is good but the application needs work!
