More income on the back of the workers

Reader comments on Liquor Control Board privatization

The current system provides a good service and presumably a fair return to the public purse. If not, there is a management problem which should be fixed. With the benefit of a union, employees are paid a living wage, perhaps one on which a person might support a family in a modest way. If the stores are sold it can only be to someone with already very deep pockets who will enjoy even more income on the backs of people who are paid the lowest wage possible.  Is this just another scheme to benefit the wealthy few?

You can bet the cost of your favourite bottle will not be any less.
