LETTERS: Who benefits from LNG?

Are the so-called benefits of LNG a hollow illusion; a cleverly disguised con perpetrated to dupe taxpayers?

Carlie Connolly’s story in the Feb. 24 edition of the PNR, headlined Steelhead LNG pressing on with Saanich Inlet plans, reminds readers that despite almost universal opposition by those who will be directly impacted, it continues to inch forward, being promoted for its purported benefits by its proponents, Steelhead LNG, the provincial government and others.

Why are they pitching so hard to obtain approvals and public support? Ms. Connolly could do readers a real public service by more investigative digging and providing some answers.
