Have you driven along Keating X Road recently?
The place is becoming a ghost town. What is it about this area? Is it the ridiculous road access with semis having to make left turns across two lanes of oncoming highway traffic and/or driving through an elementary school zone?
Is it an anti-business attitude of the Central Saanich politicians?
It started with West Corp. moving out, then it was Home Hardware, then Aqualung, then the fence outfit and the gravel market, now the Alpine Marine is vacating. The place is quickly becoming a black hole where businesses disappear.
What can be done to entice new business into the area?
What is being done? Is this an echo of the earlier rejection of the proposed superstore?
So many questions about a road that is beginning to look like it belongs in Detroit.
