Honours for the honourable

It was with absolute disgust that I learned of Gordon Campbell being appointed as Canadian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

I just about fell off my chair at his latest appointment to the Order of BC.

Both of these positions should be given to honourable Canadians in my opinion. Was the appointment to Britain payola for dumping the HST on BC citizens?

If Campbell were an honourable person, he would have resigned after being found guilty of being drunk in charge overseas.

Yes, we all make mistakes — but what a legacy.

Don Young,

Sidney

Editor’s note: Campbell was arrested and pled no contest for driving under the influence of alcohol while vacationing in Hawaii.
