Regarding the letter from Tyler Cameron, (SGI stepping stone for May PNR March 30). He is asking Saanich Gulf Islands residents not to be fooled. I am asking them not to be fooled too. I also live in Central Nova. Tyler Cameron works for the Conservative government. His Facebook shows him with Mr. Harper, Mr. MacKay, Mr. Flaherty, and many other Conservative leaders.
I'm surprised that Conservative staffers from across the other side of Canada are attacking Elizabeth May instead of focusing on their platform.
Clearly they must be worried that May will win the hearts of so many people like she did back here in Central Nova where she came in second with 32 per cent of the vote.
I'm not a card carrying member of any party, but one thing that I do know is that Elizabeth May has suffered unnecessary vicious attacks on her person, attacks about her motivations and many other things.
I got to know her before the election in 2008 and have spent many hours with her. One thing I can say with 110 per cent confidence is that she truly lives what she says, she truly cares about human beings, she truly believes in everything she works for so tirelessly.
This kind of attack is horrible and does nothing to make the Conservative party look good. They must be really worried.
