Why are there much tougher laws in Alberta for those who cowardly hurt animals than in BC?
Why does it take more than a year for two men to be tried for choking a horse to death? The same is true for the hundreds of horror stories we hear about every day on the TV or read in the paper. There is no justice for helpless animals.
We have people that drink too much, do drugs and take their hostilities and stupidity out on these defenceless creatures, how sickening. It’s okay to bash a raccoon to death, decapitate a deer, but raise my taxes, that really makes me mad!
We need to demand the government financially support the SPCA so that those who continue to harm animals or neglect them, will be severely punished with either jail or hefty fines. The animals have no one to speak up on their behalf except us. Please write a letter to the prime minister or your MLA. A lot of voices, make a bigger noise.
