Are you listening?

It appears the government has learned nothing from the debacle of the HST.

It appears the government has learned nothing from the debacle of the HST.  Long before the HST was implemented the people very clearly said no, yet the government driven by an ideologue of ruling by some form of divine right forced the tax on the people and now the people are saddled with a multi-billion dollar debt.

Today, the government is forcing people to accept smart meters despite a significant number of municipalities passing motions calling for a moratorium on the installation of the meters until a proven safe option is provided.

On Tuesday, Sept. 6 the council of Central Saanich chose to join the many municipalities throughout the province calling for a moratorium. When will the government learn that they are to represent the people and do as the people direct them to do? They are not elected to rule as though by divine right and impose their will on on the people by imperial fiat.
