November 9, 1926 to December 30, 2016

With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing our beloved father, grandfather and brother. Frank will be greatly missed by his son, Gerald (Sylvia), his granddaughters Jillian (Kyle Woodley), Kimberly Nazar (Ata), Katelyn (Mathew Maillet), his acting grandson Terry Yang, and his grandchildren Hudson Woodley and Ava Nazar. Frank is predeceased by his wives Audrey and Jeneva, and special friend Louise, as well as his brother Ed and sister Louise Ostoforoff. Left to mourn are his brothers Tom, Gordon (Lena), Jim (Linda) and sister Margaret David (Don), brotherin- law Jack, along with many nieces and nephews. Frank left his home on the prairies to train as a boy soldier during WWII. After working numerous jobs across Canada, he married Audrey Morrill and settled in Waskada, Mb. Jobs he did there include being mayor, town foreman, barber, school bus driver, and driver ed teacher. He served on numerous committees and instructed air cadets. Frank later married Jeneva Morton and eventually moved to Vancouver Island closer to his family. Pine to Palm Park in Texas was his winter home where he met Louise Jones. Frank loved his family very much and was always eager to support his community. With coffee cup in hand, he enjoyed laughing with his many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Church, 2410 Malaview Ave, Sidney, BC. His ashes will be laid to rest in Waskada, Mb at a later date.
