Edward ( Ted) Clarke

October 16, 1922 - February 21, 2023
In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of Ted Clarke on February 21st, 2023. Ted is survived by his wife Irene of 75 years, his four children, Gail (John), Garry (Kathy), Brian, Shelley (Ben), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and proud papa and great papa. Everyone who knew him appreciated his patience, positive outlook, supportive nature, gentle demeanour and wise words. Ted served in the Canadian Air Force during World War II and was a long-standing member of the local Legion. He continued to serve his community as part of the Sidney volunteer fire department.
He worked as an independent contractor and then as superintendent of public works for the town of Sidney until he retired. He was a talented woodworker and made beautiful grandfather clocks for many family members. He also loved square dancing. Ted was a quick-witted soul who will be dearly missed. 100 years wasn't nearly enough.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 18th at 2:00 at the Shoal Centre in Sidney.
