Courtney Charles, 81,
of Brentwood Bay
Died peacefully on February 22, 2011 in V.G.H. Hospital, surrounded by family, after fighting a long hard battle with lung disease.
He was born April 15, 1929 in Nanaimo, B.C., son of the late Olive and Robert McMillan.
He served in the Canadian Air Force and before retiring was employed at Maurice's Auto Body Shop in Victoria.
Courtney is survived by his loving wife, Ann, children Patti, Terry, Cory, and Anne's children Theresa (Scott), Janice, and John; sisters Alberta and Marilyn (Larry) as well as 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by us all and always remembered for the sense of humour that he added to our family. His gentle spirit and humour shine through right to the very end.
There was no service by Courtney's wishes, but a tea was held in his honour. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the B.C. Lung Association in Courtney's name.
