Archie died peacefully at Resthaven Lodge on Jan. 27th. Our dear Archie was born in Alsask, SK on July 10, 1928 and was raised in Victoria. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander Millar and Fern Anna (Rideout); and his sons Tom & Bob. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years - Colleen; his children Noreen, Don, Russell, Laurel, Calvin & Cathy; 13 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. He worked for 37 years with BC Tel & enjoyed a wonderful retirement. He was a proud founding member of the Saanich Historical Artifacts Society (SHAS) & was a lifetime member of the Vancouver Island Model Engineers. Archie was a kind and loving man, generous with his time and happily shared his woodworking and machining skills with friends and family. Special thanks to Dr. Wray & the staff at Resthaven Lodge for their loving care & kindness. In keeping with his wishes there will be an informal gathering in his memory in the spring.
