The Town of Sidney will be holding meetings over the next two mon consider the Town’s 2023-2027 Financial Plan, as follows:
- Monday, February 6th – Committee of the Whole Meeting – Budget Introduction
- Monday, February 27th – Regular Council Meeting – Initial Budget Consideration
- Tuesday, March 7th – Special Council Meeting – Budget Deliberations.
The above meetings will take place at the Town of Sidney Council Chambers, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please note that Council meetings are also live streamed, and may be accessed through the Town’s website.
All persons wishing to comment on, or inquire about, the Five-Year Financial Plan may do so at the February 27th meeting, or at any regular Council meeting following introduction of the budget. Those who wish to provide comments on the Financial Plan remotely may also do so via Zoom. However, those speaking virtually must register to participate by no later than noon on the day of the meeting by sending an email to email@example.com, or by calling 250-655-5402.
Written comments on the budget may be submitted at any time to firstname.lastname@example.org. Background documentation will be made available on the Town’s website, following the introduction of the budget on February 6th.
Final budget deliberations are expected to take place at the Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 7th. If not concluded that night, additional deliberations will be scheduled for a future Council Meeting.
