Broken glass and door frames littered a restaurant on Keating X Road when, minutes after the first crash, a 63-year-old Central Saanich woman drove her car through its front plate glass window.

"Fortunately, two customers had just moved away from the front of the store just prior to the crash," Cpl. Janis Jean, media liaison for Central Saanich Police Service said. "The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The driver was transported to Saanich Peninsula Hospital with non-life threatening injuries."

"We were that the scene for a couple of hours because the firefighters had to get her safely out of the car," Jean said.

Central Saanich Police Service requests witnesses to either of these incidents to call 250-652-4441 and speak to the Watch Commander.
