Seaside tacos will be an option off Glass Beach this summer.
The owners of Carlos Cantina and Grill will offer tacos during the Thursday night markets in Sidney, and can now offer their savoury wares the rest of the week as well. Sidney town council okayed the portable stand to offer soft tacos, snacks and sodas with a license that expires Dec. 31.
“The taco stand will be set up on the waterfront in the little alcove between divers point and the pier,” said mayor Larry Cross.
“We thought that’s really good and it brings a little more life down to the waterfront.”
Cross was pleased to note that the stand is an expansion to local restaurant, Carlos Cantina and Grill. They plan to have the stand out from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
