Speeding in Tanner Ridge to be investigated

Central Saanich council will be following up on one resident’s concerns.

Central Saanich council will be following up on one resident’s concerns over cars speeding through his neighbourhood.

Albert Law wrote to council expressing concern over the speed of traffic passing through Tanner Ridge on Bella Vista Drive between Tanner Road and Wilcox Terrace. The long, straight road often sees cars travelling up to 60 kilometres per hour in the residential neighbourhood, said Law, asking council to investigate traffic calming options such as speed bumps or a speed sign.

Council voted to refer Law’s correspondence to the next Traffic and Safety Committee meeting for review with the police department accident reports and history of the area.
