A North Saanich man has been charged with a range of sexual crimes against minors in the Greater Victoria area, the first allegedly occurring 34 years ago.
Marvin Thomas Sr., 64, faces four charges, including sexual assault and sexual intercourse with a female under 14, related to offences alleged to have happened between 1978 and 1983 and involving one person in or near Victoria.
Thomas also faces two newer charges relating to alleged incidents against a second teen in 2012 in Central Saanich. The charges are sexual assault and sexual interference against a person under 16.
On Jan. 8, the Provincial Court will set a trial date.
