UPDATED: Missing high risk youth from Saanich found

The 12-year-old had been mising since Monday morning

A Saanich youth reported missing on Monday has since been found and returned to her family.

On Wednesdy evening Saanich police ask for the public’s help locating a high risk youth who had been missing since Sept. 16. Family reported her missing after she was dropped off at the bus stop at 50 Burnside Road West around 8 a.m but never made it to school.

The 12-year-old is safe and back home with her family, said police on Thursday morning. No details about the circumstances of the youth’s disappearance have been made public.
