Saanich-Gulf Islands MP Elizabeth May hosting series of town hall meetings

SIDNEY — Saanich-Gulf Islands Member of Parliament and federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May is putting on her annual series of town hall meetings this week and next.

May will update her constituents on the goings-on in Ottawa over the past year and hear from residents about issues in the new year.

The meetings began on Monday, Jan. 16 on Saturna Island and continue through Friday, Jan. 27.

Here are the next scheduled town hall sessions, occurring after the PNR’s press deadline Monday.

 

• Sidney/Saanich Peninsula Town Hall

Thurs., Jan. 19, 7 p.m. in the Bodine Hall, Mary Winspear Centre, Sidney.

 

• Galiano Island Town Hall

Friday, Jan. 20, 6 p.m. at the Galiano Community Hall, 141 Sturdies Bay Road, Galiano Island.

 

• Central Saanich Town Hall

Sat., Jan. 21, 3 p.m. at the Brentwood Bay Community Club, 7082 Wallace Drive, Brentwood Bay.

 

• Salt Spring Island Town Hall

Monday, Jan. 23, 6:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Gulf Island Secondary School, 232 Rainbow Road, Salt Spring Island.

 

• Saanich Town Hall — UVic

Wed., Jan. 25, 7 p.m. in the Bob Wright Centre, Room 150, University of Victoria.

• Pender Island Town Hall

Friday, Jan. 27, 6 p.m. in the Pender Island Community Hall, 4418 Bedwell Harbour Road, Pender Island.
