Saanich police credit a resident for quick thinking to keep an indecent act crime from becoming something more serious.

On Jan. 9 just after 12:30 a.m. a resident inside their home noticed a man looking in through a sliding glass door. The stranger removed his pants and began committing an indecent act, Saanich police said in a release. The man walked toward the door and reached for the handle when the resident quickly locked it from inside.

The man ran away.
