Rear-ender in Central Saanich finds alleged impaired driver

Victoria driver fails roadside screening after three-car collision

A Victoria man in his 50s is without his licence after a three-car fender bender on Mount Newton X Road Sunday night.

A pedestrian running across the road near Saanich Peninsula Hospital spurred a collision at 7:20 p.m. after causing a driver to hit the brakes. The second driver in the three-car crash failed a roadside screening when police arrived and was issued a 30-day driving prohibition. His vehicle was towed.
