RCMP say alcohol at play in grassy crash

Two taken to hospital Oct. 8 after McTavish Road crash

  • Oct. 13, 2016 8:00 a.m.

Sidney North Saanich RCMP learned from passing motorists that there was a car in a ditch on McTavish Road on Oct. 8 at 10:20 a.m. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. A 31 year-old man from North Saanich and 35 year-old woman from Saanichton were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Although heavy rain and wet roads made driving more challenging that morning, alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor. The driver did not have a valid license.
